AS someone who has experienced anxiety at various times in my life, I sometimes struggle to find the words to explain It to those who might be unfamiliar with it. In a way, words alone lack the power to fully convey the feeling. for this reason, When I heard about Peach Perry's Debut Single "Pulse," I was immediately captivated.

Upon listening to this song for the first time, I was truly amazed with the way that the thoughts and sensations of anxiety were conveyed so accurately. Every single element works together to give such a complete picture of the sentiment. Perry's unique sound really Causes the listener to pay attention think about the topic. While, In my opinion, this is an exceedingly difficult task, Perry makes it seem effortless. Peach perry herself was kind enough to answer a few of my questions about this song, and I wanted to share her answers here.

What was your inspiration to write this song?

My inspiration actually kicked off in high school when I was going to act in a short film called "Pulse." It was a film at the time that had people come in to test a product and they ended up getting trapped inside. No food, no external resources, just each other. In the film, we got to see what happens when humanity is pushed to their limits. At the time, and throughout a lot of high school, I struggled With my Mental Health. I just Kept thinking people were watching me, or I would fixate on the smallest details. In my Own Way I felt like everyday I was being pushed to my own limits. I thought about my heart beating faster when I'd get in these "moods" and how it physically made me feel - captivated. It becomes some of the worst pain imaginable. and that's when I thought about it."

How did you decide how you wanted this song to sound?

"I thought, 'what if I wrote a song about how I feel?' A song with a heartbeat as the actual beat, and it'd get faster and slower, just like how mine does. I'd call it "PULSE" and I'd use these extreme scenarios of what a normal person might freak out to…But I also had small elements I knew I wanted to add, like the whispers in the second verse, and a thunder-like sound in the chorus to align with what the lyrics were describing. I wanted this song to be visual. I wanted to connect with my listeners by painting a picture in their head that shows how I feel."

To stay true to the mission of this Blog, I want to share my own personal favorite parts of this song. I genuinely love the Beat being a heartbeat. I think that plays such an important part of painting the picture that perry Sought to - and seriously succeeded at - Painting. I also am just entranced with the way that the song almost feels like anxiety, but not in a way that is too uncomfortable for the listener. It's a powerfully gentle way of connecting with listeners, whether or not they have ever experienced anxiety. "Pulse" is a truly enthralling experience of a song, and I will definitely be excited to hear Peach Perry's Future Releases.

I would love if you would also share your joyful shouts for Peach PErry and "PULSE" In the comments!
